William V. Bruno, 97 of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away at 4:15 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw. On November 14, 1914, William was born to Steve and Sarah “Sadie” (Donato) Bruno in Chicago, Illinois. He married Camille M. Martinque on November 11, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois. She preceded him in death on January 4, 2012. Residing in Warsaw for the past 15 years, William was formerly from Chicago and Lombard, Illinois. He worked as a union carpenter most of his life. He was a member of the Catholic faith and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw and also was a member of Carpenters Union Local #839, Schaumberg, Illinois. William enjoyed music and was a self taught musician. William is survived by two daughters; Carol (and spouse Roger) Kunz, Janesville, Wisconsin and Sharon (and spouse Mike) Tallman, Cherry Valley, Illinois; one son, William “Bill” (and spouse Donna) Bruno Jr., Crystal Lake, Illinois; one step-son, Thomas (and spoue Sylvia) Skelton, Fresno, California; two step-daughters, Rita (and spouse Dana) Connelly, Perry, Ohio and Marie (and spouse Bob) Raver, Warsaw; one sister, Marie Vondrasek, Kenosha, Wisconsin; two half-brothers, Patrick Bruno, Schaumberg, Illinois and Albert Bruno, Elmwood Park, Illinois; 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one step-sister and one step-brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 10:00 am with Father Phil DeVolder officiating. Entombment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation be be at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, February 10, 2012 with a Rosary service at 7:30 pm. The family requests memorial contributions are to be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 135 North Harrison Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
