William Thomas Odell

William Thomas O’Dell, age 79, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 6:00 PM in his residence. He was born on July 5, 1938 in Terral, Arkansas to Sidney L. and Madge (Smith) O’Dell. During his years as a truck driver William worked for Pierceton Trucking, Explorer Vans, and RJM Trucking. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard from 1956-1962 where he earned the rank SP-4 Armorer and was a Fire Team Leader. He was a member of American Legion Post #258 of Pierceton. He is survived by a Daughter, Teah (spouse Don) Ruckman of Pierceton; Son, Tom (spouse Shanin) O’Dell of Phoenix Az.; Sister, Sylvia Deeter of Warsaw; 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brothers; Gary, Randall, and Brooks. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton is entrusted with arrangements. A memorial service is scheduled for August 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Brower Park, Pierceton, IN. Chaplin Jerry Hartman will officiate.
