William 'Bill' Frederick Long Sr., 87, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 3/1/2009 at 1:39 pm at his residence. He was born on March 1, 1922 in Warsaw, Indiana. Bill was born to Carl Frederick and Olive Long. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw. He married Carol Sue Shambarger on April 20, 1946 in Warsaw. She preceded Bill in death on February 13, 2001.Bill had worked for Gatke, Winona Lake; Yeager and Ganshorn John Deere Dealership; Co -Owner of Cozy Cottage Restaurant and worked for Kosciusko County Highway Department.He attended Gospel Hill Pentecostal Church in Silver Lake, Indiana and he loved wildlife.Bill is survived by 1 Daughter; Connie Sue Fannin, Warsaw, Indiana2 Sons; Allen Lee Long, South CarolinaBill (and spouse Vicky) Long Jr., Warsaw, Indiana3 Granddaughters; Rhonda Cole, Kim Long-Blevins and Kara Lemler, all of Warsaw3 Grandsons; James Fleming and Benny Long, Warsaw, both from Warsaw, IndianaWilliam Long, Rolling Brook, Illinois4 Great Grandaughters; Danielle Smith, Hope Blevins, Raven Lemler and Isabella Lemler, all of Warsaw, Indiana3 Great Grandsons; Benjamin Long, Dylan Long and Zane Blevins, all of Warsaw, Indiana1 Brother; Russell (and spouse Esther Mae) Long, Gas City, IndianaHe is also preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Brother, John Long and 2 Sisters, Mary Lou Engle and Shirley Meyers. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Gale Janofski officiating.. Calling hours will be 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral chapel on Thursday, March 5, 2009. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, Indiana.
