Walter Westerman

Walter Westerman, 83 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away Thursday October 8, 2015 at 2:50 a.m. in Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne, Indiana.He was born on August 14, 1932 to Walter Sr. and Pauline (Kauffman) Westerman in Warsaw, Indiana. Walter was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion Post 49 and the Moose Lodge all of Warsaw, Indiana. He is survived by his children, Mary (and spouse Larry) Glass of Urbana, Ohio, Betty Westerman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Paula Bryie of Mishawaka, Indiana and Johnny (and spouse Londa) Lewis of Warsaw, Indiana; 13 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Vera Sittler of Greer, South Carolina and Sarah (and spouse Gary) Lichtenwalter Mann of Faxwell, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his dear girlfriend, Betty Shaw. A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 10, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana with Chaplain Bob Jarboe officiating. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery, Etna Green, Indiana.
