Walter Blackburn Sr., 72, of Warsaw, Indiana, died on 4/12/2009 at 6:22 pm at his residence. He was born on April 22, 1936 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Walter is the son of Elbert and Liza (Skeens) Blackburn. He married Loretta Powers on August 19, 1958 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky and then moved to Warsaw, Indiana in 1959.He retired from Flexsteel, New Paris, Indiana in August of 2005. Walter is a member of Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, Claypool, Indiana.He is survived by hisWife; Loretta Blackburn, Warsaw, Indiana3 Daughters; Mary (Agustin) Acosta, Kendallville, IndianaPatsy Howard, Warsaw, IndianaSherry (Randy) Pridemore, Scottsville, Kentucky1 Son; Walter (Creassia) Blackburn Jr., Mentone, Indiana1 Sister; Lilly Johnson, Trotwood, Ohio1 Brother; John Blackburn, Nappannee, Indiana6 Grandchildren6 Great GrandchildrenWalter is preceded in death by his Parents and 5 Brothers. Services will be held at Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, Claypool, Indiana on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Dean Ealey officiating.. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 15, 2009 from 2:00 until time of the service at the church on Thursday, April 16, 2009. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana.
