Vonda J. Lehman

Vonda J. Lehman, 74, of Pierceton, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Born on April 11, 1951, in Pierceton, Indiana, to Everett Meloy and Eva Reid Meloy, Vonda grew up with strong family roots in her hometown, roots she nourished and passed on to her family with deep love and devotion.

Only July 26, 1969, Vonda married Samuel Lehman, beginning a beautiful life together that spanned over five decades. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth, strength and unwavering support for one another and their family.

Vonda devoted 37 years of her life as a bus driver for Whitko Community Schools, faithfully transporting generations of local children to and from school with care and kindness. She was a trusted, familiar face for countless families in the Pierceton community and beyond.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was the proud mother of Doug (April) Lehman and Dena Fiorucci, who will forever carry her spirit forward. She especially cherished her grandchildren: Philip Fiorucci, Sara Lehman, Shayna (Thad) Dewitt, Renae Lehman, and Dale Lehman, along with her great-granddaughters, Zoey and Emmy Dewitt. Vonda wished deeply to watch them all grow and succeed. Her love for them will live on in the stories told and the values shared by those she leaves behind. She is also survived by her brother Neal (Erna) Meloy.

Vonda is reunited in Heaven with her beloved parents, Everett and Eva (Reid) Meloy; her sister, Judy; and her son-in-law Jim Fiorucci, whom she loved dearly. We take comfort in knowing they are together again, watching over us.

Vonda will be remembered for her fierce love, her unwavering dedication to her family, her strong work ethic and her quick sense of humor. She carried us in so many ways, and now it is our turn to carry her in our hearts forever.

She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 11, 2025 from 11-1 p.m. at Pathway Church, 2402 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. in the church with Pastor Jarod Osborne officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Vonda’s remarkable life and legacy.

Private burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton Indiana.
