Virgil Hale

Virgil Hale, 65, of Pierceton, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Virgil was born on November 1, 1959 in Norwalk, OH to George and Edna (Scott) Hale. On February 27, 1978 he married the love of his life, Kathy Jean Poe, in Pierceton .

Virgil worked as an Arborist for Hales Tree Service. He found joy in fishing and gardening, and especially loved spending time outdoors camping. He enjoyed raising his roosters and coon hunting with his Bluetick Coonhound. Virgil never knew a stranger and was a devoted husband and father who cherished spending time with his family. He was of the Baptist faith.

Virgil will be lovingly remembered by wife Kathy, daughters Edna (Troy) McGuire, Ruby Staab (William Vinning) of Pierceton Connie (Herman) McGuire of Menton, and Rebecca Hale (Braxton Setters) of Mt. Sterling, KY: 13 grandchildren Liz McGuire, Katie Neace, Emilee Staab, Trace McGuire, Alexzandriea Staab, Isaiah McGuire, Shieann Staab, Tyler Staab, Tristan McGuire, Lucas McGuire, Daniel Hale, Derrick Hale, and Delilah Hale: 10 great grandchildren, siblings George Hale, Ruby Hale, and William Hale all of Martin, KY, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in passing by his mother, brothers Robert Hale and Vance Hale, sister-in-law Donna Hale, niece Christina Hale, great granddaughter Liberty, and nephew Josh Hale.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 105 First St., Pierceton.

Funeral services in celebration of Virgil’s life will begin at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating.
