Viola Alice (Jones) Zorn, 84 of Pierceton, IN. went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 25, 2014 at 5:00 a.m. in her residence. She was born to Andrew Frank and Lula Vernice (Hand) Jones in Kewanee, IL on March 12, 1930. She was the seventh of nine children. On October 26, 1946 she married Chester S. Zorn of Pierceton, moving to Pierceton in January 1947. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother of 16, and great grandmother of 29. A lifetime member of the Warsaw Church of God where she served as a Sunday and Bible School Teacher. She was a lifetime member of the Pierceton American Legion Post #258 and Warsaw VFW Post # 1126. She served as president of the auxiliary for 6 years in both and as a District 2 color bearer. Being a seamstress she did her home decorating and sewing. Viola is survived by her husband, Chester, and six children. Three sons, Chester II (and spouse Karen) Zorn of North Webster, IN., Randal (companion Jeanie) Zorn of Warsaw, In., and Richard Zorn of Pierceton, IN.; Three daughters, Mrs. Sharon (and spouse Tom) Swartz of Warsaw, IN., Mrs. Kathy (and spouse Pat) Stevens of Warsaw, IN., and Kimberly (and spouse Nicholas) Heinold of Pierceton, IN., a brother-in-law Jack (and spouse Sue) Zorn of Elkhart, IN., several nieces and nephews and a special angel, Sandy Zartman. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons, a grandson, a granddaughter, a great grandson, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, IN. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Warsaw Church of God, Warsaw, IN. at with Pastor Jerry Yoder officiating.Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, IN. Memorial contributions are to Zorn Family or Parkview Whitley Home Health Care and Hospice.
