Verla M Harter

Verla M. Harter, 80, of Warsaw, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Goshen Hospital.

Verla was born on November 29, 1943 in Crossville, Alabama and was daughter of Noble and Mary Frances (McCool) Christian.

She was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School class of 1962.

She worked as a custodian for Warsaw Community Schools. Verla enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of the Salvation Army Church.

Verla will be lovingly remembered by her son Noble (Karen) Coffing of New Paris; sister Mary Lou Kiser of Leesburg; grandchildren Cameron (Amy) Coffing and Abigayil (Brenton) Cripe, and 3 great granddaughters Maggie, Erin, and Emery. She was preceded in passing by both parents, a son Walter Coffing II, and a brother.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Verla’s life will begin at 12:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2024 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Ken Locke officiating.

Interment will follow in New Paris Cemetery.
