Vere Allen Shenefield

Vere Allen Shenefield, 87, of Warsaw passed away at 11:30 AM on September 11, 2017 at his residence. On January 20, 1930 he was born in Bremen, Indiana to Warren Allen and M. Marie (Laudeman) Shenefield. On December 25, 1962 in Warsaw, Indiana he was united in marriage to Ruth Carolyn Robinson, who survives. He worked for Studebaker Automotive from 1951 to 1953 and then at DePuy in sales and management for 45 years retiring in 1996. He attended church at First United Methodist in Warsaw, Indiana. He was a member of the Gideon’s International, Pierceton Lions Club and the Bremen Masonic Lodge as a 32nd Degree Mason in Scottish Rite. He proudly served in the United States Army as a SP3(T) from 1955 – 1961 Headquarters – Aus/AGC. He is survived by his wife Ruth, daughter; Gay Ann Mullins of Muncie, Indiana, son; Todd Allen (and spouse Christa) Shenefield of Warsaw along with grandchildren Skyler (and spouse Michelle) Shenefield of Warsaw, Blayne Shenefield of Warsaw and Robinson Mullins of Muncie, Indiana. He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents and a brother; Lyle Shenefield. Visitation will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw with Pastor Mark Need officiating. Interment will follow the funeral at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Warsaw, 501 E. Arthur Street. Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
