Vaughn D. Zellers Sr.

Vaughn D. Zellers Sr., 73 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 11:30 am Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. On October 5, 1940, he was born in Logansport, Indiana to Vaughn Donald and Mary M. (Simons) Zellers. He was united in marriage to Linda Watts on September 16, 1959 in Logansport, who preceded him in death on April 15, 2014. He moved to the Warsaw area from Logansport in 1970. He had worked as a machinist for Union Tool and Zimmer Inc. Vaughn enjoyed playing the piano, reading and gardening. Vaughn also was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army Reserve. Vaughn is survived by two daughters, Debbie (and spouse Dale) Hileman, Akron and Becky Zellers-Keefer, North Webster; four sons, Tim (and spouse Donna) Zellers, Elkhart, Brian (and spouse Kim) Zellers, Warsaw, Vaughn Dean “Charlie’ (and spouse Megan) Zellers Jr., Marietta, Georgia and Donny Zellers, Leesburg; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, June Ann Zellers, his parents and his brother Joe Zellers. A celebration of life service will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 26, 2014 at First Brethren Church, Warsaw. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vaughn D.
