Valis G. Owens

Valis G. Owens, age 80, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 10:02 AM, Monday, July 8, 2019 in his residence. He was born on July 3, 1939 to Butler and Annie (Whitaker) Owens in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was united in marriage on July 27, 1956 to Janice (Holbrook) Owens in Warsaw. He has been retired for 15 years in which he was a production worker formerly employed with Huffer Foundry, Bourbon Foundry and Spartech Plastics in Warsaw. Valis is survived by his wife; Janice (Holbrook) Owens, children; David (Judy) Owens of Dayton, OH, Rick (Karen) Owens of Silver Lake, IN, Terry (Susan) Owens of Heathsville, VA, Kathy (Mark) Schott of Ft. Wayne, IN, Linda Donovan of South Bend, IN, and Lisa (Kim) Derf of Silver Lake, IN, sisters; Maggie (Elmer) England of Warsaw, IN, Evaline Spangle of Columbia City, IN, brother; Dale (Phyllis) of Paintsville, KY. In addition, he is survived by 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by son; Scott Owens, siblings; Gale Owens, Dalis Owens, Merleen Smith, and Garnie Bradford. His visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in McHatton- Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
