Tony Jan Sheneman

Warsaw:  Tony J. Sheneman, 83, and most recently living in Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Fort Wayne.

Born on September 8, 1939 in Bremen, Indiana, Tony was the son of Omer Ray and Lillian Sheneman. He graduated from Bremen High School.

On February 4, 1961 in Bremen, Tony married Marlene K. Trefun. The couple would welcome two sons, Rodrick and Jason. She would proceed him in death on January 2, 2011. Tony worked for Ryder Truck Rental in Warsaw as a diesel mechanic.

Tony enjoyed retirement in Florida. He traveled a lot and took many trips to Colorado. In Florida he enjoyed playing shuffleboard, and everyone adored him. He loved to go on walks and drive the golf cart around. When his dementia got bad, Tony moved back closer to his two sons in Indiana.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Port Charlotte, FL, and his sons: Jason (Anita) Sheneman of Claypool and Rod Sheneman of Decatur; grandchildren: Anthony Sheneman, Brittnee Sheneman and Nathan Sheneman; and great-grandchildren, Dena, Cooper and Remington as well as his brother Jerry (Joyce) Sheneman of Bremen.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marlene and brother Dick Sheneman.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. There will be no formal service to follow.
