Tom Carter

Tom Carter, age 75, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away June 28, 2011 at 5:21 PM in his residence. He was born December 8, 1935 in Warsaw, IN to Nick and Olive (Bennett) Carter. He was a lifetime resident of Warsaw, IN. In Oregon in 1960 he married Lois Ritter. Tom was a Machinist for DePuy, Inc. of Warsaw, IN where he retired in 1989. He was Korean Conflict Veteran serving with United States Air Force as an Airman First Class from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of the American Legion John C. Peterson Post #49 of Warsaw, IN; a member of the Northern Indiana Bluegrass Association and Warsaw Eagles. Survivors include his son Ted ( spouse Jan) Carter of Leesburg, IN.; granddaughter Lara (spouse John) Ryan of Warsaw, IN and a sister LaVerna Bennett of Elkhart, IN. He was preceded by a brother Theodore Carter and his parents. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July, 23, 2011 at 11:00 am. Military rites will be rendered by the American Legion Post #49, VFW Post #1126 and the Indiana ARNG Honor Guard.
