Thelma J. Leedy, age 92 of Warsaw passed away Sunday February 19, 2012 at 5:25 am in her residence. On March 14, 1919, Thelma was born to William H. and Grace (Hunter) Fisher in Winamac, Indiana. On March 30, 1941, she married Rupert “Buck” Leedy in Warsaw, Indiana. He preceded her in death in 1999. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Thelma graduated from Warsaw High School in 1939. She worked as Wayne Township Deputy Assessor, retiring in 1979 and was also a member of North Webster Church of God. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Barbara Wampler, Warsaw; son, Stephen R. (and spouse Linda) Leedy, Terre Haute; two grandsons, Brad Leedy, Louisville, Kentucky and Jeffrey (and spouse Brandi) Wampler, Warsaw; two great grandchildren; and Cheryl Leedy, North Webster; brother, F. Eugene (and spouse June) Fisher and sister, Doris Nellans, both of North Manchester. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Lynn “Doc” Wampler on May 9th, 2010. Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. Visitation hours will be from 11:00 - 1:00 pm, Thursday, February 23, 2012 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Memorials may be made in Thelma's memory to North Webster Church of God, 302 North Main Street, North Webster, Indiana 46555
