Susan Carol Stoops

Susan Carol Stoops, 59 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 3:15 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Mason's Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. On November 17, 1954, she was born in Warsaw to LaMar Richard “Dick” Stoops and Dora Jane “Dodie” (Nay) Stoops. She graduated from Warsaw High School, Class of 1973 and then attended Ball State University for two years. Susan lived in Warsaw until 1982, when she moved to Tulsa Oklahoma, where she resided until 2008. In 2008, Susan moved back to Warsaw. She worked as a telephone operator for United Telephone Company, Warsaw and ATT in Oklahoma. She also was employed as a social worker in Tulsa. Susan was a Narcotics Anonymous Sponsor from 2003 - 2008. She also was an artist, story teller, movie buff and an avid reader. She is survived by two sisters, Mary J. Wise, Warsaw and Elizabeth A. “Betsy” Stoops, Chicago, Illinois and her best friends, Trudi and Ed Owen, Danika Millay, Lorna Ladd and Joanna Beatson. Services will be privately held with burial at a later date. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw was entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Susan's memory, may be given to Kosciusko County Homecare and Hospice, P.O. Box 1196, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1196.
