Prater, 32 of Columbia City, Indiana formally of Silver Lake, Indiana passed away in his residence on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 4:03 p.m. He was born on December 19, 1981 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Steven K. Raver and Alice Prater. Steven was a computer designer. He was attending college. He enjoyed fishing and canoeing. He also loved animals and to draw; he was an artist and a tattooist. He is survived by his mother, Alice Prater of Silver Lake, Indiana; a brother, Tarzan Prater of Silver Lake, Indiana; a sister, Christine Blankenship of Silver Lake, Indiana; Nieces, Lisa (and spouse Don) Nelson of Akron, Indiana, Heather (and spouse Zackary) Williams of Akron, Indiana, Cheyenne Miller of Pikeville, Kentucky and Rhealynn Salisbury of Pikeville, Kentucky; Nephews, Michael Nelson of Warsaw, Indiana and Anthony Blankenship of Silver Lake, Indiana. He is preceded in death by his father Steven Raver (September 6, 2014), 1 brother and his companion. There will be no calling. There will be a celebration of Steven’s life at a later date. The family is requesting that the memorial contribution be made to Relay For Life of Kosciusko County, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana, 46545
