Steven A. Biltz, 72, peacefully passed away with family near on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Steve was the middle child of John “Jack” Biltz and Jo Ellen Wiley, born on December 15, 1952 in Warsaw, Indiana. In high school, he was on the golf team and played drums in the school band. He graduated from Pierceton High School with the class of 1971.
Being a smooth talker, Steve excelled as a car salesman in the Fort Wayne area, winning top used car salesman of the year numerous times. He then worked as a security guard for Securitas Security Services in Fort Wayne.
He was a great father to his children and took them camping a lot when they were younger. They all loved the outdoors and had fun fishing together. He taught them to be honest, genuine and to live by the Golden Rule.
Steve was stern in his faith and had a funny, honest and opinioned personality. He enjoyed studying and reading his Bible. He was a member of Three Rivers Baptist Church in Fort Wayne. While Steve has several health complications, he never complained and never let them hold him back from doing anything.
He is dearly missed by his daughters, Linda (Kevin) Tierney of Huntertown and Jamie (Joe) McKinley of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Kodee Henley of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Johnathan “Blake” Harris, Deven Tierney and Alexis (Jacob) Thompson; step-granddaughter, Jada Kelley; and great-granddaughter, Everly Thompson. Also surviving are his two siblings, Linda (Greg) Davis of Winona Lake and Bruce (Cheryl) Biltz of Pierceton as well as nieces and nephews and his ex-wife, Nancy Kriner.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 1 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Friends are welcome to visit with the family from 11-1 p.m. in the chapel.
Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
