Stella Hatfield

Stella Hatfield, 96, of Leesburg previously Trenton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Masons Healthcare. She was born April 26, 1927, in Middletown, Ohio, to Peter Edward and Laura May (Cooper) Long. She graduated from Middletown High School in 1945.

Stella worked at Bern’s Garden Center in Middletown for over 30 years. She loved to raise a garden, work in her flowers, and bowl. Stella enjoyed playing cards on Sunday afternoons at her dear friends’ house, Dot Staton, and family.

Stella will be lovingly remembered by her son Stephen (Bobbie) Hatfield; grandchildren Bryan(Collene) Hatfield, Troy (Joan) Hatfield, and Krista (Sam) Kim as well as great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her husband Edwin who passed in 1988, a sister Margie Poffinbarger, brothers Ralph Long and her twin Stanley Long, and a dear niece Betty Hancock.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Elk Creek Cemetery in Ohio at 1:00 PM.
