Sophia Whiteman, 3 days, Columbia City went to heaven as she was held by her mother and father on Monday, June 2, 2014 at 2:32 a.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. She was born on May 30, 2014 to Thomas and Sara (Konkle) Whiteman. Sophia is survived by her parents, Thomas and Sara Whiteman of Columbia City; a brother, Carter Severns; sisters, Summer Severns, Kaitlin, Brianna and Sheilah Whiteman; Maternal grandmother, Veronica Cogley of Akron, Indiana and Judith Williams of Angola, Indiana; Paternal grandfather, Bobby Konkle of Claypool; Maternal great grandmother, Mae Leiter of Claypool. Sophia is preceded by her brother, Ian Whiteman, an uncle, Travis Cogley and a paternal great grandfather, Larry Leiter. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A funeral service will be on Monday, June 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Mike Dillon will be officiating. Burial will be private.
