Shirley Mae Clay Davis age 76 , went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday October 18th, 2012 at 3:40 pm at the residence of her son in Pierceton, Indiana. On January 7th, 1936 Shirley was born to Richard and Wanada (Raifsnyder) Cox in Niles Michigan. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Shirley was a member of the God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, IN. Shirley worked at PlastaPack in Warsaw, Heaters / Dekko in North Webster, and Holiday Inn in Warsaw. Shirley enjoyed her flower gardens, being outside in the yard, loved spending time with her family, the grand children and great grand-children. Along with enjoying and spending time with the family, she was involved with bowling leagues at the Gilliam Bowling Lanes. Shirley is survived by her daughters, Tanya (spouse Pastor Bob) Brown of Warsaw, Cindy (spouse Rick) Ousley of Pierceton, Donna Patrick of Pierceton, also her two sons, David (fiancee Mona Hemmer) Hein of Pierceton, and Donald (spouse Vicky) Clay Jr of Pierceton. Shirley is also survived by her brother Richard Cox of Middleberry, her sisters Phyllis Sherck of Goshen In, and Mary Garber of Texas. Shirley enjoyed her twenty two grandchildren along with thirty eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her Mother Wanda Cox, her Father Richard Cox, her Step-father Grover Vanett, brothers Robert Cox and Marvel Mehl and Granddaughter Charity Lynn Robertson. Funeral services for Shirley will be held on Monday October 22nd, 2012 at 12:30pm at God’s Highway To Heaven Church, Warsaw. Visitation will be on Sunday October 21st 2012 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service at the Church. Pastor Bob Brown will be officiating the service. Burial will be at the Oakwood Cemetery. Family has asked for memorials to be made out to the Animal Welfare League, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, In 46580.
