Scott Michael Brown, 51 of Warsaw, sailed into the West (a reference to The Lord of the Rings) on Monday October 3, 2022. Scott was born September 27, 1971 to Toni Bullers (Shafer) and Michael Brown.
Scott is survived by his daughter Bailey Brown of Fort Wayne; his father, Michael (Cheryl) Brown of Warsaw; sister, Keni (Kerry Tucker) Brown of Etna Green; brother, Derek (Amy) Brown of Warsaw; niece, Emma Tucker of Etna Green; nephew, Bronson Brown of Warsaw; his step-father, Bruce Shafer of Akron and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his enormous ‘family’ of friends who will forever cherish their time with him. Scott was preceded in death this year by his loving mother, Toni Schafer.
Scott grew up in Georgia, Tennessee, and ultimately called Indiana his home. Scotty enjoyed spending time and sharing laughs with his friends, often over a cold beer, a game of bowling, at a music festival, or floating down a river. Scott was an avid lover of the New York Yankees. He was a true connoisseur of music and had a fervent love of books and movies. Scott was a talented musician and an accomplished writer, he was wise, intelligent, and always quick with a joke. Scott was a lover of many things but the love for his daughter surpassed all. Scotty Brown was a kind and gentle soul, a true friend to many. Scott was “one of the good ones”. The Dude abides.
A Celebration of Scott’s Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements through McHatton Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown MD 21741 or to Scott’s family to assist with final expenses.
