Early Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016, Sarah Josephine Hardesty peacefully passed away in Warsaw, Indiana. Sarah, better known as Jo, was born in LaPorte, Indiana on January 14, 1922. She was the daughter of Maribelle and Joseph Ramsey. She had two brothers and three sisters. Jo was a 1940 graduate of Hammond Tech High School. She married Deloss (De) Hardesty on April 19, 1942. they were married for seventy one years. Preceding Jo in death were her husband, Deloss; son, Jackie (infant) and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Dr. Jim (Julie) Hardesty of Fallbrook, California, Sue (Dan) Dulin of Warsaw, Indiana; grandchildren, Dan (Nichole) Dulin, Amy (Ian) MacLaverty, Remy (Chuck) Robitaille, Luke Hardesty; step granddaughter, Kate Jehue; great grandchildren, Collin and Raegan Dulin and Cora Robitaille. Jo was the office manager for Calumet Machine and Welding for many years. After retiring in 1984, she and De moved to their dream home on Klinger Lake in Sturgis, Michigan. They loved sitting on the deck and enjoying the company of their many friends. She was an avid bridge player and loved playing card games with her children and grandchildren. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. She requested that the immediate family gather for a day of remembrance. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana was entrusted with the arrangements.
