Sara Elaine DeMunda, 67, of Goshen, Indiana, died on 6/7/2009 at 7:52 am at her residence. She was born on May 2, 1942 in Muncie, Indiana. Her parents were Howard and Charlene (Skinner) Lamb and Step-Mother Eva (Bales) Lamb. On January 27, 1962 she married Ronald Russell. On September 11, 1993, she married Gerald “Jerry” DeMunda who survives. Sara grew up in Muncie, Indiana and moved to the Mentone, Indiana area before finally settling in Goshen, Indiana. An avid quilter, Sara taught quilt making to friends and neighbors. She was actively involved with the Bethel United Methodist Church as the church secretary. Sara loved to laugh and made friends easily. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and she loved watching scary movies. Including her husband Jerry, she is also survived by her blended family consisting of her children, Ronda (husband Rick) Morris of Warsaw, Indiana, Leanne Redden of Nappanee, Indiana, Carmella (husband Mike) DeMunda-Harnishfeger and Rebecca (husband Brett) (DeMunda) Nerstrom both of Chicago, Illinois and Karl (wife Maggie) DeMunda of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In addition, Sara is survived by her sister, Linda Jo Clark, Kay Rankin, Sally DeBord and Margorie Wright all of Muncie, Indiana. She has eight grandchildren. Sara was preceded by her parents, one daughter, one son, and a granddaughter. Pastor Catherine Koziatek will officiate the services. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, Indiana on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10:00 am. Calling hours will be 4:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Sycamore Cemetery Mentone, Indiana. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
