Sadie Bays

Sadie Bays, 67 of North Manchester, Indiana passed away at 9:33 pm Saturday, August 13, 2016 in her residence. On August 5, 1949, she was born in Floyd County, Kentucky to Amon and Mary (Compton) Prater Sr. She was united in marriage to Frank Bays on March 2, 1968 in Packerton, Indiana, who preceded her in death on February 27, 2012. Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, Sadie worked as a self-employed beautician. She was a member of Free United Baptist Church, Warsaw and helped with Whitley County 4-H Club for years. Sadie is survived by her daughter, Joni (and spouse Brian) Westerberg, North Manchester;  two grandchildren, Justin and Jacob Westerberg, both of North Manchester; her sister, Linda (and spouse Glen) Hughes, Mentone; one niece, Amy (and spouse Jeff) Likes, Columbia City; one nephew, Glen (and spouse Erica) Hughes Jr, Mentone; two great nieces, Tiffany Simcox and Bailey Hughes; one great nephew, Hunter Hughes; her brother-in-law, Rolland Shepherd, Warsaw and three special friends, Chris Westerberg, Goldie Goble and Delilah Calhoun.  She was preceded in death by her Parents and her sister, Judy Shepherd A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 20, 2016 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Luther Bailey and Pastor Glenn Hall officiating. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake, Indiana. Visitation hours will be from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2016 and also 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, August 20, 2016 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, Indiana.
