Ruth J. Horn

Ruth J. Horn, 93, of Pierceton passed away on September 15, 2018 at 9:49 AM in Mason’s Health and Rehabilitation in Warsaw. She was born in Pierceton on October 8, 1924 to Ben and Jessie (Keefer) Rider. She was a life member of the American Legion Unit 258 and V.F.W. Unit 1126 and was past president of each. She loved playing cards and doing deeds for others. She is survived by two daughters; Jeanette Warren of Belleview, Colorado, Jane (and spouse Tim) Sterling of Darlington, IN. and five sons; Leslie (and spouse Barb) Keener of Albion, Jerome (and spouse Marsha) Keener of Pierceton, Jeremy (and companion Starr Myers) Horn of Niles, MI, Chris Keener of Wabash and Bill (and spouse Tammy) Keener of Barnett, Missouri. She is further survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded by a brother, Robert Rider and two sisters; Mildred Black and Doris Jean Rackeweg and two grandsons; Shane Keener and Michael Keener. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Pierceton. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM with Chaplain Jerry Hartman of Pierceton American Legion Post 258 officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
