Ruth Ellen Wilson, 79 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 10:20 am on Thursday, March 19, 2015 in Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. On September 29, 1935, she was born in Marion, Indiana to Carolyn (Mosley) and Elbert Sullivan. She was united in marriage to Don Wilson on June 27, 1954 in Peru, Indiana, who survives. Ruth moved to Warsaw in 1960, from Peru, where she was a graduate of Peru High School, class of 1953. She was assistant vice president of First National Bank for several years, retiring in 1996. Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warsaw for thirty years and was actively involved, serving on the church’s financial committee. She is survived by her husband, Don Wilson, Warsaw; her daughter, Julie (and spouse Peter) Wehrly, Boulder, Colorado; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Wilson, Warsaw;four grandchildren, Erin and Andrea Wehrly, Andy Wilson and Sara (and spouse Gabriel) Garcia all of Warsaw; six great grandchildren, Hannah, Abby and Antonio Garcia, Jacob Wilson, Emma Kate Wilson and Hallie Wilson; her brother, Glen (and spouse Laurie) Sullivan, Spirit Lake, Idaho and her sister, Carol Lou (and spouse Mike) Kunce, Indianapolis. Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Steve Wilson. A memorial service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday, March 28, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, Warsaw with Pastor Toni Carmer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 179 South Indiana Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
