Russell T. Biggs

Russell T. Biggs, age 83, of Retired Tigers Warsaw, Indiana passed away Sunday October 7, 2012 at 11:25 AM in his residence. He was born December 26, 1928, in Hopkins County, Kentucky to Edward and Inez (McDonald) Biggs. He was a 30 year resident of Warsaw, Indiana and was formerly employed by Bendix Corporation of South Bend, Indiana for 35 years. He was a member of American Legion Post # 49 Warsaw and A Lifetime VFW Post #1126 Warsaw member and a member of the Warsaw Eagles. Russell served in the US Army during WWII receiving a Victory Metal and Army of Occupation Metal, Japan. He is survived by his son Rusty (and spouse Susan) L. Biggs of Warsaw, Indiana; 1 step-grandson, Chris Freedle and 1 step-granddaughter, Angie Collins both of Warsaw. He is preceded in death by 1 grandson, Ryan L. Biggs, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 10:00 AM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw, Indiana with Pastor EJ Underwood officiating. Calling hours are scheduled for Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Legion Circle #2, Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw, IN with Military Honors by the Warsaw American Legion Post #49 and VFW Post #1126.
