Rose L. Whitaker

Rose L. Whitaker, age 84 of Claypool, IN passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 8:14 PM in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on June 28, 1933 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Harlen and Kate (Neely) Shepherd. In 1951, she married Arnold Whitaker. Rose worked at Jomac as a sewer. She was a lifetime resident of Claypool, IN for 48 years. She is survived by Sons, Don Whitaker of Claypool, Jesse Whitaker of Claypool; Daughter, Brenda Miller of Warsaw; Sisters, Charity Shepherd of KY, Fredia Alton of MI, Melvia Shepherd of KY, Bobbie Boyd of OH; Brothers, Chandler Shepherd of Silver Lake, Jay Shepherd of KY, Glen Shepherd of KY, Delmer Shepherd of KY; Six Grandchildren and Six Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband and one Brother. Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Funeral Service will follow immediately at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Terry Bradford officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool, IN.
