Roscoe Wood age 82, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday September 19th 2012 at 12:50 pm in his residence in Warsaw. On March 21st 1930 Roscoe was born to John and Calonie (Spradley) Wood in Collins, Mississippi. He moved to South Bend Indiana in 1950 and to the Warsaw area a few years later. On March 20th, 1971 he married Sue Hetler in North Manchester, Indiana, she survives. Roscoe was a member of the Moose Lodge of Warsaw, worked as a machinist for Clausing Incorporated of Warsaw from 1953 to 1983. After his years thirty years at Clausing’s, he then worked at DePuy from 1983 till retiring in 1996. Roscoe enjoyed hunting and fishing for many years. Roscoe is survived by his wife Sue Wood, his two daughters, Margaret Ann Wood Slone, Warsaw, Indiana and Dorothy Wood, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; his two sons, DeWayne Wood, North Manchester, Indiana and Jason Wood, Warsaw, Indiana. His sisters, Lucy Freeman, Stringer, Mississippi and Bell Marie (Billy Ray) Williams, Stringer, Mississippi and his brothers, Johnny (Merle) Wood, Stringer, Mississippi and Talmadge (Margaret) Wood, Stringer, Mississippi; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Roscoe was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, his daughter Cecile Wood and a son – in – law Evert Slone, four brothers, Oliver J Wood, J.W. Wood, J.C. Wood, William Wood and one nephew Ernie Williams. Funeral services for Roscoe will be held at Friday September 21st, 2012 at 2:00pm at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Visitation will be on Friday September 21st, 2012 from 11:00am to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service at the Funeral Chapel Warsaw. Chaplain Bob Jarboe will be officiating the service. Burial will be at a later date. Family has asked for memorials to be made out to the Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581 or Mission Pointe Church, 929 W. Center Street, Warsaw, IN 46580.
