Ronald E. Watson

Ronald E. Watson, age 79, of Sidney, Indiana passed away at 9:55 Pm Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in his residence. He was born February 25, 1935 in Fort Wayne, IN to Ronald H., and Thelma (White) Watson. He was Sidney, IN resident since 1966. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a PFC, 8th Infantry from 1952 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. On December 29, 1956 in Columbia City, IN he was united in marriage to Mary Albertson. He retired from the Maintenance Department of North Manchester Foundry in 1999 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the North Webster American Legion Post #253. Survivors include his wife Mary Watson of Sidney, IN; sons Robert (spouse Kimberly) Watson of Claypool, IN and DeWayne (spouse Julie) Watson of Sidney, IN; a brother William Watson of Tulsa, OK; 8grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A daughter Karen Sanburn and a son Larry Watson preceded him. Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, May 12, 2014 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Chapel conducted by Pastor William Whitaker. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton with Military Honors presented by North Webster American Legion Post #253.
