Ronald R. Baumgardner, 87, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Peabody Retirement Home in North Manchester, Indiana.

Born in Lima, Ohio on March 2, 1938, Ron was the son of Merle E. and Elsie (Werner). He attended Lima Central Junior High and graduated with the class of 1959 from Lima Senior High School.

On November 29, 1959 in Lima, Ron took Rosemary Jung as his wife. She would precede him in death in 2020.

Ron worked for Bergen Brunswick in pharmaceutical from 1958-2006. He took pride in being lucky enough to work for a company that cared about their employees and he truly loved his job. He felt accomplished daily that he made someone else’s day better by being able to help.

He was a member of Warsaw Community Church. Ron loved golf, fishing and going out on his boat on Webster Lake. He cherished them all and was proud of all their accomplishments.

Ron is survived by his daughters, Debra Kay Edwards (companion Rick Morris) of Warsaw and Dawn “Fritz” (Rick) Donavan of Warsaw; grandchildren: Austin (Kate), Alaina and Logan Donavan; and great-grandchildren, Josie and Auggie.

A visitation will be held from 10-12 p.m. on Wednesday October 8, 2025 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Funeral service will follow immediately at noon in the chapel.

Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
