Roma Jean Maish, age 82, of Leesburg, IN and Palm City, FL passed away Thursday, January 16, 2014 in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake, IN. She was born September 16, 1931 in Swayzee, IN, the daughter of Virgil and Ada (Ammon) Gowin and the sister of Wilma Gowin, Vivian Gowin Lord, Mary Alice Gowin Lawshe, Annabelle Gowin, Louise Gowin Brown and Janice Gowin Fawley who preceded her to heaven. Romas husband of forty-four years, Robert D. Maish, preceded her to heaven on July 23, 2007. Roma was a regular attendee of Warsaw Community Church and Palm City Presbyterian Church. She liked to spend time with her family, travel, and play golf, but she was best known for her love of cooking and fondness for card games. Her legacy is preserved by the endowment she and Bob established to create and perpetually maintain The Gardens of Central Park in Warsaw, IN. Survivors include her daughters, Dana (spouse John) Pritchett of Powell, OH and Kimberly (spouse Denny) Fuller of Leesburg, IN; grandchildren Jed (spouse Melissa) Pritchett, Riley Fuller, Jordan Fuller, Kelly (spouse Joseph) Pritchett Ewing, and Griffin (spouse Caitlin) Fuller; great-grandchildren Clark Ewing, Taylor Pritchett, and Louise Ewing; and many other dear family members. A son Jerry Bruce Gast preceded her to heaven in 1952. Her family will hold a Celebration of Romas Life at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, IN.
