Roger Leedy

Roger Leedy Roger Leedy, age 72, of Pierceton, Indiana passed away Friday, February 01, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. in his residence. He was born on September 25, 1940 to Raymond and Velma (Gebert) Leedy. He married Carol Reed on March 16, 1974 in Akron, Indiana. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. He served in the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis; he was part of the blockade.Roger retired from Navistar International Truck and Engine Corporation. He was a member of the North Webster American Legion Post 253, North Wbster, Indiana. He was also a member of the UAW. He is survived by his wife Carol of Pierceton; one son Scott Leedy of Pierceton; two sisters Brenda (and spouse Ian) Ross of North Webster and Patricia Stidham of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Roger enjoyed playing poker and loved to fishing. There will be a graveside service at a later date in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.No calling is planned.McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Pierceton is handling the arrangements.
