Roger L Shenefield

Roger Lee Shenefield, 89, of Warsaw, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at his residence.

Roger was born on April 1 , 1934 in North Manchester to Burris Bernel and Lulu (Grossnickle) Shenefield. He married Dorothy Hartman on April 1, 1983 who proceeded him in passing on March 15, 2005.

He worked for the Parks Department for the City of Warsaw and retired. Roger enjoyed collecting belt buckles, knives, and coins. He also enjoyed working on cars and hunting. He was a member of the Warsaw Moose Lodge and the American Legion Post #49.

Roger will be lovingly remembered by his son Douglas (Christine) Shenefield of Warsaw; daughters Pattie (Mike) Laney of Florida, Sue (Russell) Woodcock of Warsaw, Michelle (James) Rabiola of Atlanta, GA, Cynthia (Oliver) Shenefield of Good Hope, GA, and Diane (Mark) Bradford of Good Hope, GA, 8 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by both parents, his wife Dorothy, a daughter Jackie Gilfillian, 1 brother, 1 niece, and 2 nephews.

A visitation with family and friends will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Ct. Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Roger’s life will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the funeral chapel with Pastor Mark Fishburn officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery.
