Roger Cook, 63, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was born on June 3, 1961, to Joe and Daisy (Slone) Cook in Warsaw, Indiana.

Roger a was a skilled laborer at Lau Industries in Rochester, Indiana, for many years. There he made blower wheels and fans for furnaces.

On August 29, 2008, he married his love, Jeanette Casey. They raised their blended family with lots of love until her passing on February 12 of this year.

Roger was a devoted family man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He shared many cherished memories with his large family. He enjoyed sitting by the campfire, “just chilling.” With his love of nature, you could always find him out fishing. Known as a “metal head”, Roger enjoyed many concerts over the years, attending with family and friends. He was always a laid-back kind of guy who enjoyed a good ole cup of coffee. He was quite an artist and loved to draw. He also had a huge heart for any animal, especially his dogs Cleo and Frodo. When he wasn’t out in nature, he would love to sit and watch all sorts of movies. The thing he loved most though was sharing at the family reunions and spending time with all his family. These activities brought him closer to nature and created lasting memories with those he loved offering him peace and happiness.

Roger is survived by his sons; Eric (Robin) Cook, Christopher Cook, Doug (Amanda) Clingerman; daughter Erica; his mother, Daisy Slone; his children’s mother, Rhonda McCool; siblings Linda (Anthony) Vostrejs Moreno, Bill Cook, Richard Cook, Rhonda (Mike) Wright, Kathy (Daryl) Sand, Peggy (John) Holmes, Janet (Bill) Rayburn, Jennifer (Steve) Long; special sister-in-law, Crissy Casey; grandchildren Kris, Beck, Maria, Jaine, Kory, Guinevere, Shae, Kane, Madison, Kinleigh, Christopher Jr., Devynn, Jasmine, Sabrina, and Elisha; 9 great grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews and his best friend, Ron.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanette Sue Cook; father, Joe Cook; sister, Barbara Cook; brother, Michael Cook; grandson, Devon Clingerman and one great grandson, Maddox Beck.

Roger’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May those who shared in his life have comfort in his passing.
