Roberto Espinoza Jr., 62 of Warsaw, Indiana passed away at 5:30 pm Monday, February 3, 2014 in his residence. On July 9, 1951, he was born in Warsaw, Indiana to Robert and Susana Beatrice (Reyna) Espinoza Sr. He was united in marriage to Patricia Castle on December 1, 1979 in Warsaw, Indiana, who survives. A lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, Roberto worked for Dana Corporation in Syracuse, Indiana for thirty four years, retiring in 2008. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970 – 1974. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter- Day Saints, Warsaw, American Legion Post #258, Pierceton, where he served as past commander and the VFW Post #1126, Warsaw. He was also a member of the U.A.W. through Dana Corporation. Roberto was very active in VA Reunions, American Red Cross, the Democrat Party and was especially active with his family and friends. He was the oldest of six children. He is survived by his wife Patricia Espinoza, Warsaw; three children, Antonio Robert (and wife Lety) Espinoza, Goshen, Aaron Joseph Espinoza, San Diego, California and Leah Nicole Espinoza, Warsaw; four grandchildren and two step grandchildren; his mother, Susana Beatrice Espinoza, Pierceton; his sister, Delores Espinoza (and husband David) Bumbaugh, Claypool; four brothers, Roland “Felix” (and his wife Dixie) Espinoza, Warsaw, Armando “Mandy” (and his wife Sarah Ann) Espinoza, Pierceton, Reuben Espinoza, Pierceton and Steven (and his wife Joanna) Espinoza, Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father in 1992 and his father-in-law, Robert Castle. A service will be held at 7:30 pm Friday, February 7, 2014 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Bishop Jeff Walter officiating and military honors provided by American Legion Post #258, Pierceton. Burial will be at a later date. There will be a gathering of friends and family, following the service on Friday, at American Legion Post #258, Pierceton. Visitation hours will be from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 7:30 pm Friday, February 7, 2014 at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions are to be made to the American Red Cross, 320 North Buffalo Street, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
