Robert Allen Gill

Robert Allen Gill passed away peacefully at his home on June 11, 2017 in San Jose California. On September 20, 1924 Robert was born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana. He graduated from Warsaw High School. In 1943 he entered WWII as a Navy enrollee. After his honorable discharge he attended and graduated from Purdue University. Robert worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Lockheed Martin (California) and retired after 28 years. Robert trekked in the Himalayas after retirement, an example of his long held love of hiking, walking and continually found joy in his computer projects and love of his family. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Eleanor Louise Gill; his son Brian Allen Gill; granddaughter Laura Louise Gill; his nieces Rhonda Curtis and Sandra Lachowski. Services were held June 19, 2017 at Skylawn Memorial Park San Mateo, CA. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is assisting the family locally.
