Robert A. Brooks

Robert A, Brooks, 80 of Nappanee and formerly of Warsaw passed away at 2:58 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2016 in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital On February 27, 1936, he was born in Vineland, New Jersey to William and Madge (Moyer) Brooks. Robert was united in marriage to Janet King on August 23, 1959 in Mentone, Indiana, who survives. Robert served our country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1955 – 1957. He then owned Texaco Gas Station before joining Anheuser-Busch Company for twenty eight years. Robert also worked for the Kosciusko County Sheriff Department in work release for six years. Robert enjoyed antiquing, of which he and his wife did together for forty five years. He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Janet Brooks, Nappanee; two children, William Alan Brooks, Grand Rapids, Michigan and Jill (and spouse David) Brooks Bultemeier, Battle Creek, Michigan; two grandchildren, Brooks and Lincoln Bultemeier, Battle Creek, Michigan. He loved his family but his children and grandchildren were the love of his life. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
