Rita K. Wrenn, 67, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, surrounded by family at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.

Born on April 6, 1958, in Richlands, Virginia, she was the daughter of Charlie and Margaret (Meadows) Farmer Sr. Rita grew up with 8 other siblings which made for lots of excitement in the home.

Rita was a homemaker with specialties in cooking her famous fried chicken and everyone’s favorite, her “Dotty Dip”. She enjoyed the peace brought to her by sewing and crocheting. She loved her family, especially her grand babies.

Rita will be remembered by her family as a kind, gentle, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Rita is survived by her husband, Harold, children; William Roberts, April (Noble) Turczi, Melissa (Brian) Wood, Carissa (Chris) Fleming, Jerry Schultz, Windy (Roger) Fitzpatrick, Daniel (Kim) Wrenn, and Melissa (Dan) Williams, brothers and sisters; Linda Taylor, Steven (Joyce) Farmer, Alesia (Tommy) Roberts, Ernest (Becky) Farmer, Diane Farmer, Tony (Wendy) Farmer, and Vera Zartman, 19 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Charlie “Buddy” Farmer Jr, daughter Tabatha Reber son, Terry Schultz Jr., and grandson, Mateo Gutierrez.

A visitation in Rita’s honor will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, from 3-6:00 pm, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels. Services will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:00 am with Reverend Bob Brown officiating. Burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery.
