Ricky Allen Skees

Ricky A. “Rick” Skees, 71, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025.

Born in Warsaw, Indiana on May 29, 1953, Rick was the son of John and Betty (Huffman) Skees. He graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1972.

Truck driving took him all over the states. Rick lived in Minnesota for about 10 years while driving for RSO Trucking, and after moving back to Warsaw, he drove for TranZstar and Eaton Trucking until his retirement.

Rick lovingly cared for his mother until her passing on January 30, 2024. Being with his family brought him so much joy, and he was dearly loved by his generations of nieces and nephews. He watched cooking channels, was a great cook and enjoyed having them over for dinners and laughs. Rick also liked playing golf and his favorite show that he never missed was “Swamp People”.

He is survived by his siblings: Stephen (Melody) Skees of Atwood, Kerry Skees of Warsaw, Pam Wagner of South Carolina, Kelly (Kenneth) Newsome of Warsaw and Troy (Karey Ann) Skees of Warsaw as well as tons of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, a niece and a great-niece.

Per his requests, cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date.
