Rick Allen Reed

Rick Allen (Northenor) Reed, age 68, of Portland, Oregon, and formerly of Warsaw, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018, at 11:44 PM in his residence. He was born February 11, 1950, in Warsaw, IN, to Clifford Reed and Jean Nelson. Rick built and owned R. A. Reed Production Company in Portland serving the entertainment industry including companies such as, the Los Angeles Music Center Opera, Tibetan Freedom Concert, San Francisco, CA. Rick also staged concerts held at the Reno Nevada Hilton and the Michigan Opera Theater. A Portland resident since 1972, he began his career with the Portland Civic Theater. With a love of theater productions, he developed while attending Fort Wayne -Purdue University, Rick realized the West coast was the answer for his passion of theater production. He developed the company to serve numerous major entertainers and theater troupes both here and abroad. Survivors include his parents: Jim and Jean Northenor of Warsaw, a brother Steve (spouse Barb) Reed of Warsaw. Furthermore, niece Leah (spouse Matt) Hoskins and Nephew Dr. Luke (spouse Carrissa) Reed survive plus several great-nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 4:00 PM in Harrison (Wooden) Center Cemetery, Etna Green with Pastor Mike Beezley officiating. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.
