Richard J. Seitz Sr.

Richard J. Seitz Sr., 81, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2025 doing what he was passionate about, celebrating a Green Bay Packers win on Thanksgiving Day. He was surrounded in love by his daughter and family.

Born on June 20, 1944 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Richard was the son of Charles and Evelyn (LaClaire) Seitz. He graduated from Leesburg High School in Indiana with the class of 1963.

Richard served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War and was Honorably Discharged in 1966.

At Durward’s Glen in Baraboo, Wisconsin, Richard took Carol J. Goodenough as his wife, and they would move to Warsaw, Indiana shortly after and would raise a family. He worked for R.R. Donnelley for over 30 years until his retirement.

Richard was a happy, loving man, who never met a stranger. He was a hard-core Green Bay Packers Fan. He loved to garden, grow tomatoes and beautiful flowers. Richard was on a bowling league in Warsaw, and Carol and he would enjoy many days going to yard sales. They were members of Warsaw Community Church where he was a door greeter and worked in M.O.P.S. His best friend and dachshund, Dirty Harry, was his pride and joy and Richard took him everywhere.

He is survived by his children, Angela (Willie) Baldridge of Warsaw and Richie (Joyce) Seitz Jr. of Appleton, WI; 5 grandchildren and his brother, John (Debbie) Seitz of Palestine, IN.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Carol in 2017, his parents and two sisters, Sandy and Carol.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 10-12 p.m. at Mc Hatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services will begin at noon in the chapel with Pastor Jeff Pfeifer officiating. Military Honors will be rendered following.

Burial will Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, next to his wife, will be at a later date.
