Richard R. 'Dick' Goshert, 79, of 1201 N. 350 West Warsaw, IN., died on 1/30/2009 at 5:00 PM at Parkview Hospital of Ft. Wayne. He was born on February 10, 1929 in South Bend, IN.. Dick was born to Harold J. and Bertha (Vandermark) Goshert. He was united in marriage on August 5, 1950 in Warsaw, IN. to Kathleen M. Romig. He was a Truck Driver for 35 years and retired on December 13, 1991. He was employed by Transport Motor Express and DTF Trucking both of Fort Wayne, IN.. Richard was a member of Harrison Center Church of Etna Green, IN. and faithfully served his church as a Deacon and Elder. Richard also served in the Indiana National Guard from 1954 to 1960 attaining the rank of Sargent. Other memberships include the American Legion Post #49 of Warsaw, IN.. Dick is survived by his loving family, including, his Wife Kathleen M. “Katie” Goshert-Warsaw, IN.; 2 Sons: Paul (spouse Sue) Goshert and Tim (spouse Shelly) Goshert both of Warsaw, IN.; 3 Brothers: William Goshert-Phoeniz, AZ.; John “Jack” (spouse Mary) Goshert-Glendale, AZ.; and James (spouse Mary Ann) Goshert-Mishawaka, IN.; Grandchildren: Sarah Goshert, Jennifer Goshert and Adam Goshert all of Warsaw, IN.; Andrew (spouse Joni) -Warsaw, IN.; and Aric (spouse Brenna) Goshert-Leesburg, IN.. He was preceded by his Sister: Doris McCoy. Pastors Bill Stevens and Larry Goss will officate the services. Services will be held at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Calling hours will be 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Tuesday February 3,2009. Burial will be at Pleasant View Cemetery - Warsaw, IN. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel - Warsaw is in charge of arrangements.
