Richard Piper, 69, of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday April 16, 2026.

Born on April 24, 1956, in Warsaw, he was the son of Richard “Dick” Piper and Sharon (Craighead) Dustin.

Richard worked as a laborer in manufacturing over the years. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially this time of year when he was out hunting mushrooms. He also loved fishing and always had a good story to tell.

Richard is survived by his sister Lanà (Ricky) Bevely, brother David (Lisa) Piper, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sharon (Craighead) Dustin, his father Richard “Dick” Piper, a sister and a nephew.

Memorial donations in his honor may be made to Celebrations United Methodist Church, 1289 S 250 E, Winona Lake 46590.

Services for Richard will be private per his wishes.
