Rebecca “Becky” N. Skeans

Rebecca “Becky” N. Skeans, age 89, of Warsaw, Indiana passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 6:47 PM. She was born on December 06, 1929 in Hippo, Kentucky to Harrison Byrd and Pearlie (Frasure) Johnson. Becky lived most of her life in the Kosciusko County area. On December 31, 1947 she was united in marriage to Theodore Skeans, he preceded her in death on September 22, 2012. During her life she was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, Warsaw. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Warsaw. Becky enjoyed gardening (especially in her earlier years), she also loved to quilt and has made quilts for every child and every grandchild in her family. Her life revolved around church and her loving family. She is survived by her sons; Jim Skeans of Clarksburg, New Jersey, Jerry (spouse Janice) Skeans of Nappanee, Jack (spouse Lorie) Skeans of McHenry, IL, Terry Skeans of Washington, New Jersey, Ted (spouse Opal) Skeans Jr. of Warsaw, Joe (spouse Lauri) Skeans of Warsaw, daughters; Barbara Skeans of Warsaw, Linda (spouse Mike) Miner of Warsaw, Mary Alice Park of Milford, and Janice Miller of Warsaw, 30 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren; Rashel Park and Todd Skeans as well as 14 siblings. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM with visitation from Noon until the time of service in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
