R. Eileen Lichtenwalter Estep, age 89, of Warsaw, IN passed away Saturday February 16, 2013 at 11:20 a.m. in Millers Merry Manor, Warsaw. She was born February 27, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Charles E. and Grace L.(Kaufman) Kelley. She was resident of Chicago, Palestine, Lake Tippecanoe, and Warsaw, also a resident of The Caring House since 2009. She was united in marriage at Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw on May 27, 1979 to Leonard A. Estep by Rev. Dr. David Abel. She was employed by Sears, Roebuck Co. for 30 years in the Paint Dept. where she was known to many as the Paint Lady. Eileen also was a clerk at Brennans Drug Store for many years. Memberships include the Dutchtown Brethren Church, Warsaw First Brethren Church, and Trinity United Methodist Church 1979 2013, Lambda Chi Omega Society, Martha Circle, and Eastern Star. Eileen was an avid bowler and a proud member of the Warsaw Womens Bowling Association Hall of Fame. Survivors include a step-son Mickey L. (Melissa) Estep, Grandchildren: Leslie (Josh) Wildman, Lisa (Doug Brumfield) Estep, Brett Estep, Jacob (Melissa) Messner, Brother-in-law, Bob Lichtenwalter, and (sister) V. Diane Poort, all of Warsaw. Ten nieces and nephews: Maureen (Terry) Mauzy Michigan City, Mike (Hope) Reiff Warsaw, Bruce (Tamara) Tatman El Cajon, CA., Lisa Holler New Haven, Chris (Tammy) Kehler Warsaw, Laura (Tim) Ehlers Camby, Shawn Haines Warsaw, Mitch Kehler Greenwood, Nicole (Chad) Dippon Milford, and Emerson (Natalie) Poort Warsaw, also seven great-grandchildren and several great-nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard Estep on Sept. 19, 2010, and two sisters; Jeri Tatman Martin on Jan. 3, 1999 and Kathryn Reiff, Dec. 11, 2012. Funeral services will be in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Wednesday Feb. 20, 2013 at 11 a.m.. Pastor Jack Worth of the Dutchtown Brethren Church and Pastor Dave Hummel of the Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate the services. Interment will be in Etna Green Cemetery Etna Green, IN. Calling hours are scheduled for 4 8p.m.Tuesday February 19, 2013 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
