Phillip Wright

Phillip Wright, age 79 of Franklin, Kentucky passed away Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 10-2 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Private family graveside services will immediately follow in the Sidney Cemetery, Sidney.

A native of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Henry B. Wright and Mollie Jane Rose Wright. Phillip was the general manager at Prepsat/Quebecor World Printing in Franklin, where he was respected and appreciated by those he worked with.

Phillip enjoyed coaching sports and took great pride in watching and helping young athletes grow. He also enjoyed playing golf, woodworking and restoring furniture, and had a talent for bringing new life to things that others may have overlooked. He was an Army Veteran and will be remembered for his dedication, hard work, and the many lives he touched throughout the years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter – Hannah Paige Wright; brother George Wright and sister Bernice Howard.

Survivors include his wife – Betty Wright; 3 sons – Gregory Wright (Beth), Brian Wright and Paul Wright (Rachel); grandchildren – Austin (Evelyn), Colin (Madeline), Josh, Maddie, Jack and Grace; great grandson Henry; 2 brothers – Larry Wright (Becky) and Lester Wright (Rhoda): 2 sisters -Liz Keirn (Tom) and Henrietta Bumgardner (Jack), several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
