Philip Judge Harris, 95, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw Born on October 8, 1926, in New Castle, Indiana, Phil was the son of Clifford F. and Jewell J. (Judge) Harris. He was united in marriage to Maxine (Earhart) Harris on July 30, 1950, in Liberty, Indiana. Together they shared 71 years of marriage prior to Maxine’s passing on December 16, 2021. Phil proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II. He practiced law in Warsaw after graduating from I.U. Law School and Bar admission in 1950. He commenced practice with the firm of Graham, Eschbach & Harris. In 1993 he and son Stephen commenced their practice at Harris & Harris. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Warsaw since 1951. Phil will be lovingly remembered by daughter, Diane (Thomas) Kail, Noblesville, son, Stephen P. (Carla) Harris, Warsaw; grandchildren, Kris (Angie) Kail, Scott (Jennifer) Kail, Jeff (Cassi) Kail and Kara Harris (fiancé Nick Jones); great grandchildren, Kameron, Annabelle, Carson, Avery, Betsy, and Houston. He was preceded in passing by one brother Robert E. Harris. A private graveside service will be conducted at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw with military honors rendered by the American Legion Post #49 & V.F.W. Post #1126. Pastor Brian Smith will officiate the services. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels is entrusted with arrangements for the family. In Lieu of flowers a charity can be made to donors’ choice.
