Peyton Scott Brooks, 20, of Warsaw passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
Born on May 3, 2005, in Warsaw, he was the beloved son of Jason Brooks and Ashley (Cooper) Burton. Peyton was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School in 2023, where he studied welding. Peyton worked at Keystone RV in Goshen, Indiana.
Peyton enjoyed gaming, collecting and Trading UFC and Football cards (attending several conventions), and collecting action figures and Legos. He loved watching his favorite football team,” GO SEAHAWKS”! He also had a love for shoes. He enjoyed cookouts and bonfires and going out on the boat.
Peyton most enjoyed sharing his love, telling stories and jokes, just having fun, laughing and having a great time with family, especially his sisters, and friends. He made a point almost every Saturday to meet up with his friends.
Peyton was a devoted father to his baby girl Charleigh, as well as a wonderful son (always a momma’s boy), grandson, and friend who is dearly missed.
Peyton is survived by his daughter Charleigh Brooks and his companion and mother of Charleigh, Lily Reeves, his mother Ashley (Cooper) Burton and stepfather John, father Jason Brooks and stepmother Shawna (Smith) Brooks, sisters, Kennedie Brooks, Jalynn Jones, Ava and Livie Slone, Madison Burton, Brooklyn Conley, and Breelyn Price, uncle Bryan S. Brooks, paternal grandparents, Bryan (Jill Bennett) Brooks, maternal grandparents, Dan (Wanda) Cooper, Cammy Leffert and maternal great grandmother Peg Ditmer.
He was preceded in death by Charlie (Patricia) Cooper, Fred “Fritz” Ditmer, and stepbrother Jacob Burton, and great grandfather Benjamin Brooks.
A visitation to honor the life of Peyton will be held on Thursday April 2, 2026, from 2-5:00 p.m., at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Services will follow and be conducted by family and friends.
Memorial donations in Peyton’s honor should be made to Lily Reeves, companion and mother of his child, Charleigh, in care of McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, Indiana 46580.
